Instructions for Oral Presentations

  1. For plenary oral presentation, the duration is limited to 45 minutes, and another 15 minutes for questions & answers. For keynote oral presentation, the duration is limited to 25 minutes, and another 5 minutes for questions & answers.
  2. Each general oral presentation is limited to 15 minutes, and another 5 minutes for questions & answers. The speaker will be reminded at the 3-minutes mark (i.e., at 12th minute of the presentation). You are to make your concluding remarks by then.
  3. Presentation should be done using MS Office PowerPoint. A laptop with a projector will be available in all sessions. All presenters should save their presentation in a USB storage device in a format that can be read by PowerPoint 2007 on a Windows-based PC.
  4. Presenters should transfer their files to the provided laptop in the venue of their presentation as early as possible. Preferable times are during tea, lunch and inter-session breaks. A student volunteer will be available to assist the presenters.
  5. Presenters are requested to submit a short biography (less than 10 lines, printed copy) to the Session Chair, 5 minutes before the beginning of the session. Your biography should include at least your title, name and affiliation.

Instructions for Poster Presenters

  1. The poster should be in portrait layout and A1 size (594mm (W) x 841mm (H) / 23.3in (W) x 35in (H)).
  2. Posters should be put up by 10:00 for Poster Session 1, and by 15:00 for Poster Session 2.
  3. The necessary mounting tools, e.g. Velcro tape, will be available on-site. Posters are to be put up according to the numbering on the poster panels (and also given in the conference programme).
  4. Authors should be present during the poster session to explain their study and to answer questions.
  5. Posters must be removed after the poster sessions (i.e., by 13:00 for Poster Session I, and by 18:00 for Poster Session 2.
