Aims and Scope

Following the tradition of the previous PSE Asia symposia held in Kyoto (2000), Taipei (2002), Seoul (2005) and Xi’an (2007), the 5th International Symposium on Design, Operation and Control of Chemical Processes (PSE Asia 2010) will be held in Singapore from July 25 to 28, 2010. This symposium aims to enhance interactions and collaborations among researchers and practitioners from Asian countries working in the area of Process Systems Engineering. Both theory and applications will be covered.

The symposium will include, but not limited to, technical sessions on the following topics:

Call for Extended Abstracts

Authors are invited to submit a 2-page extended abstract in English for each paper they wish to present. The extended abstract should include title, names and affiliations of authors (including e-mail address of the corresponding author), abstract, 3 to 5 keywords and main references. All submissions will be peer-reviewed. The authors of each accepted abstract will be requested to submit the full paper by March 31, 2010.

Special Issue on PSE Asia 2010 in Asia Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering

We are pleased to announce that a special issue of the Asia Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, containing about 30 papers selected from the presentations at PSE Asia 2010, is scheduled for early 2011. Manuscripts submitted to and presented at PSE Asia 2010 will be assessed and short-listed for possible inclusion in the special issue. Corresponding authors of the short-listed presentations will be invited in early August 2010, to expand their respective manuscript and submit to the APJChE. You will have to submit the expanded manuscript by the middle of September. The submitted manuscripts will then go further review process for possible publication in the special issue.

The submission dateline for the final manuscript is extended to April 14, 2010.
